Picturing Our Past

Visitors to the Museum can now browse through the entire photograph collection in the East Gallery.  Through a partnership with the Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University, thousands of glass plates, negatives, and photographs have been scanned and copied and made more accessible to the public.

Duplicate copies of each image are in binders in the Gallery for visitor use while originals are safely stored in archival sleeves and boxes.  Information sheets are available and visitors are encouraged to help identify people and places in the photographs.

Photos may also be ordered for personal use.
