Historic Festival June 20, 2009
For years, families have enjoyed the festivities as beautiful Bayfront Park plays host to Petoskey’s Historic Festival. Each June hundreds of people descend upon the historic train depot and enjoy the ever popular “Taste of the North” as they sample a wide assortment of offerings from popular local restaurants. Lake Michigan provides a breathtaking backdrop for the festival.
Local musicians and performers entertain throughout the day. A wide range of activities for families and children keep folks busy for hours. The Little Traverse Regional Historical Society will once again sponsor a silent auction.
There are lots of new surprises in store this year. This year's activities will include: a silent auction from local merchants, Taste Of The North food sampling, a vintage baseball exhibition, children's petting zoo, vintage carriage rides, musical entertainment, and a vintage car show.
People keep coming back year after year, and this year will be no exception as the festival becomes bigger and better than ever. So, mark your calendar . . . June 19th from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.
