106 East Mitchell Street
Commonly misidentified as Dr. Williams House, the yellow house at the entrance to Petoskey was probably built in late 1880, although it does not appear on the 1880 Birdseye Map. The lot was sold by Ignatius and Mary Ann Petoskey to O.N. Watson in 1878 for $160. Watson's residence is listed as "foot of Mitchell" in the 1882 guide, which could be this house.
John R. Davis and his daughters Elida and Mary Florette lived there in 1903. His wife Susan died that same year. Florette died in 1968 and the home was purchased by the Beck family in 1969.
