Barbara Kellogg Blackmore
Born in India to missionary parents, Barbara Kellogg Blackmore came to Petoskey in the early 1940s with her husband Stanley Kellogg, to establish Kellogg Studio, where Barbara was the business manager. After Stanley’s death, Barbara married Joseph Blackmore. They were members of the Petoskey Whirl-Aways and traveled extensively. Barbara was an active member of the Petoskey United Methodist Church, serving many years as church treasurer, singing in the Chancel Choir, playing in the bell choir, and organizing the annual United Methodist Women rummage sale. She cared deeply about others and worked helping people through many local organizations such as Manna Food Pantry, the Friendship Center’s Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council.
