Edna Brown McCartney Danser

Edna was born in the apartment above her father’s harness shop on Bridge Street in Charlevoix, which later became Brown Motors. After attending the University of Michigan, Edna returned to work at Brown Motors in Charlevoix and then Petoskey. In 1946, she established the Circus Shop, a specialty children’s apparel store, later run by her daughter and granddaughter. She was a founding member of Zonta and a member of the Professional Business Women’s group.
