Ellen Roeser Gillespie
Ellen Roeser was born in 1916. A woman with an adventurous spirit, Ellen lived in several Michigan cities before moving to Petoskey in 1952 with her husband, Robert Gillespie, and children. She served the community as a social worker and an elder in the Petoskey Presbyterian Church, and volunteered for many years at Northern Michigan Hospital. She was a member of several clubs, including the Art Study Club and the Petoskey Whirl-Aways. A world traveler, Ellen visited such places as Egypt, Yugoslavia, Finland, and China.
Ellen died in 2007.
