George S. Danser
George Danser was born in Weston, West Virginia on January 23, 1870, the sixth of nine children. His parents were George C. and Sarah (Daugherty) Danser.
George was educated at Weston and got his first job as a clerk in a retail grocery store. In 1891 he advanced to the wholesale grocery of Ruhl, Koblegard, & Co. and was then promoted to general manager of the Petoskey Grocery Company in March 1900. The company was owned by the people he worked for in West Virginia.
He married Fannie Hastings of Petoskey in 1904. Their two children were George William and Ruth Janet.
