Harriet Kilborn
An avid local historian and community member, Harriet was a charter member of the Little Traverse Historical Society, and was instrumental in establishing the Petoskey History Museum. She served as the Emmet County Clerk for 13 years, from 1967 to 1980, and also ran Kilborn’s House of Books with her sister. Harriet was President of the Historical Society in the 1960s, and greatly expand the society’s collections. Her book, Historical Glimpses- Petoskey, was published in 1986, and her research and notes continue to provide a glimpse into the past.
