Irene Goldstein Gordon

Irene Goldstein was born in 1899. She grew up in Petoskey at the home of her aunt and uncle, Alick and Minnie Rosenthal. After high school, she attended Columbia College in Chicago. Irene ran Rosenthal’s Department Store after her uncle’s death in 1939 until the early 1960s. Many artifact cases in the Little Traverse History Museum once displayed her wares in that store. She was president of the Little Traverse Historical Society and the B’nai Israel Sisterhood, and on the board of the local Girl Scouts. Irene attended the B'nai Israel Temple.

​Irene died in 2004.
