Jean Liberty Pickett

Jean was born in Wisconsin and came to Petoskey at the age of 8 months. She graduated from Petoskey High School in 1943. She had poems published in the Petoskey High School Hi-Light newspaper. A book of her poetry was published in 2014. Jean served as a nurses’ aide during WWII. She was also an elementary school teacher. She and her family enjoyed many summers in their cottage at Bay View.
