Mineral Well Park |

Oil wasn't found in the experimental drilling, but they did find a mineral spring. Mineral Well Park has been used for mineral well baths and as a fountain. During World War I, Vice President Marshall stayed at the Cushman Hotel and walked to the fountain every day to get water for his son, who was ill. Afterward, the Women's Club sent thermoses of water to Washington DC for him.
