Welcome! I'm excited to have you discover LTHS and explore all that we have to offer. Whether you're a local or a visitor, someone fascinated by history or researching your family, or someone with a particular interest (Victorian clothing? Extinct birds? Steamships?), we've got something for you. We are in the process of digitizing our photographs and print material so that we can share it with you, so be sure to check back often and see what's new.

If you're looking for something specific and want some help, please contact me directly and I'll see what I can find. Research is a particular passion of mine and I love helping people discover something about their family or home. We also offer research workshops on Tuesday mornings throughout the summer and fall season- free to our members!

I'm also a huge map nerd! I love all kinds of maps, and we have some beautiful ones in our collection. The 1902 Emmet County Plat Book has maps like this in gorgeous pastels.
