Lasting Legacies: The Women of Little Traverse Bay

Minnie Rosenthal (1868-1943)

Minnie and her husband, Alick, were founding members of B’nai Israel Congregation in Petoskey. She was the founder and president of the B’nai Israel Sisterhood, as well as president of the Michigan Federation of Temple Sisterhood. Although she had no children of her own, Minnie raised her niece, Irene Goldstein. Minnie was a member of the Women’s Federation of Clubs and involved in many club activities and fundraisers.
